For the caramel coating you first need to heat up the sugar right on the flanera adding the one table spoon of water and the few drops of lemon until the caramel turns to a light brown color. Tilt the flanera moving the caramel to coat all sides (Be very careful since this caramel is extremely hot and will burn you if you are not paying attention!) Put it aside to cool.
Meantime wish in the whole egg and the 5 egg yolks adding the condense milk, evaporated milk and the vanilla extract. Poor this mix into the flanera, put on the lid and bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes in A bain-marie ( also known as a water bath or double boiler in English) basically use an oven proof dish put the flanera inside and fill with water the container all the way to the sides of the flanera.
Let the flan set on the oven for 20 minutes then take it our and let it cool completely for at least 1 hour in the refrigerator. Run a butter-knife around the outside edge of the flan and place the flan outside down in a dish.
